Story
Kuberaa revolves around the pursuit of wealth and its consequences. The narrative follows a beggar who undergoes a dramatic transformation, exploring themes of greed, ambition, and the moral dilemmas faced by the characters, leading to a quest for redemption.
Production
The film was officially announced in June 2021 under the tentative title D51, marking Dhanush’s 51st film as the leading actor. With the inclusion of Nagarjuna, it was later referred to as DNS, representing Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Sekhar. The official title, Kubera, was announced in March 2024, and subsequently amended to Kuberaa.
Principal photography commenced on January 17, 2024, in Hyderabad. The production then moved to various locations, including Tirupati, Goa, Bangkok, and Mumbai. Notably, during the Tirupati schedule, filming near the Alipiri ghat led to traffic disruptions, resulting in public complaints.
Budget
Initially planned with a budget of ₹90 crore, Kuberaa‘s expenses escalated to approximately ₹120 crore. This increase is attributed to extended shooting schedules and production challenges.

The film’s music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Cinematography is handled by Niketh Bommireddy, editing by Karthika Srinivas, and production design by Thota Tharani.
