Statement from the Hospital Director
SSKM Hospital director Manimoy Bandopadhyay mentioned that Mamata Banerjee was brought to the hospital with injuries sustained in a fall after allegedly experiencing a push from behind. She suffered a cerebral concussion and had a sharp cut on her forehead and nose.

Family members reported that she received four stitches and remains stable. Later in the evening, Mamata Banerjee was discharged from the hospital.
